Yearling Grooms

Seelster Farms Inc. is currently hiring for the position of Yearling Grooms. This position is full-time from mid August until mid October. The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, and Saturday, 8 am to 3 pm.

Seelster Farms Inc. is a commercial standardbred breeding operation, which will be selling over 50 yearlings at this fall's Forest City Selected Yearling Sale and Forest City Preferred Yearling Sale. Individuals hired for the position of Yearling Groom should have a strong background with horses, particularly in handling young ones. Yearling grooms will be responsible for general barn chores, such as feeding, watering, cleaning out, turn-out, grooming, and showing yearlings to potential buyers.
