Breeders Crown Eliminations

Southwind Madonna (Camluck) dominated her fellow distaffers in last week’s eliminations for the Breeders Crown Open Mare Pace at Mohawk. Leaving from post 6, Southwind Madonna shot straight to the lead and made every call a winning one. Using a powerful closing kick of :26.3, Southwind Madonna lowered her life’s mark to an ultra-fast 1:49.3. A $37,500 supplement, Southwind Madonna will leave from post 2 in this Saturday’s $352,815 final.

SBOA Stakes Final

I’m Just Special (Camluck) was an impressive 1:51.3 winner in the $179,300 SBOA Stakes Final for 3-year-old pacing fillies at Mohawk last Friday. A winner of $312,784 this season, I’m Just Special has compiled a record of 8-5-2 in just 17 starts.

Bud Light Stakes

Flamboro Downs hosted the Bud Light Stakes for 3-year-old colt pacers on Wednesday afternoon. Winning the opening $42,828 division was the Camluck son, Legal Litigator. Relinquishing his lead by the half-mile marker, Legal Litigator used a strong closing kick of :28.4 in the stretch to collar the leaders and take the win by a quarter-length. The time of the mile was 1:53.2. The second division, which was contested for a purse of $42,078 saw Giddy Up Lucky (Camluck) finish second, after having to overcome an overland trip. The time of the mile was 1:50.4.

2-Year-Old Filly Pace

OSS Grassroots action took centre-stage at Sudbury Downs last Wednesday for the 2-year-old filly pacers. Zegerid Lady, a daughter of Modern Art, swept the second division, winning by an impressive eight-lengths in a time of 1:59. Finishing second to Zegerid Lady was Southern Seelster (Camluck), while Twin B Nouveau (Modern Art) rounded out the top three. Kesons Dahlia (Modern Art) finished third in the third division.

2-Year-Old Filly Trot

Kawartha Downs hosted the $120,000 OSS Gold Final for 2-year-old filly trotters Saturday afternoon. Easter Bonnet (Berndt Hanover) finished third in the mile, while Napanee Seelster (Angus Hall-Northern Kiss) was fourth.

Other notable performances include:

Surrealist (Modern Art) paced gate-to-wire at Flamboro in a time of 1:56.1. Fortune (Camluck) finished third in the mile.

Perfect Touch (Camluck) paced gate-to-wire at Flamboro in a time of 1:56.4 with Josie Wales (Apaches Fame) finishing 3 ¾ lengths back in third.

Western Amarillo (Western Maverick) was a 1-length winner over Mudriggin (Modern Art) at Hanover Raceway. The time of the mile was 2:00.4.

Cruiser Hudson, a 2-year-old daughter of Camluck, was a 1:59.3 winner at Rideau Carleton.

P L Cammander (Camluck) was a 2-length winner over Magnum Seelster (Intrepid Seelster) at Hiawatha Horse Park in a time of 1:57.3.

Focus Seelster (Western Maverick-Falcon Sight) was a 4 ½ length winner at Clinton Raceway in a time of 2:01. To date, Focus Seelster has compiled a record of 4 wins and 2 seconds in just 8 lifetime starts.

Georgian Downs hosted the OSS Grassroots for 2-year-old trotting fillies last night, with daughters of In Conchnito posting two top three finishes. In the fourth division, Oye Can She Trot withstood a double-parking at the three-quarter pole to finish just 1½ lengths back of the winner in third. The time of the mile was 2:04.2. In the sixth division, Senorita Conchita finished a fast-closing second in the 2:03.3 mile.

At Kawartha Downs last night, Pretty Pepi (Angus Hall-Pepi Lavec) finished a close second in a non-winners trot. We will be selling the Striking Sahbra half brother to Pretty Pepi, Protégé Seelster, at the Forest City Selected Yearling Sale on October 19.

Confederation Cup Day at Flamboro Downs

Flamboro Downs was bustling Sunday afternoon with spectators and harness racing enthusiasts wanting to see the great Somebeachsomewhere firsthand. Somebeachsomewhere did not disappoint, as he paced to victory in the Confederation Cup Final in a world record time of 1:49.2, demonstrating why he is the greatest 3-year-old pacing colt in the world. Deuce Seelster (Western Maverick-Demi Seelster) finished a strong second to Somebeachsomewhere in the opening elimination, but was not able to match Somebeachsomewhere’s dominance in the $493,000 final, where he finished in a dead heat for sixth.

Define The World (Duke Of York) also turned in a world record performance on the undercard for the Confederation Cup by winning the $120,000 OSS Gold Final for 3-year-old colt trotters. Trotting to victory in a time of 1:54.2, Define The World became the fastest 3-year-old trotting gelding ever over a half-mile track. Owned and bred by Al Libfeld and trained by John Bax, Define The World was driven to victory by Paul MacDonell.

Also turning in strong performances on Confederation Cup day were:

Keystone Mystique (Camluck) paced to victory in a conditioned pace for 3-year-old filly OSS Grassroots starters in a time of 1:54.4.

Shady Cam (Camluck) finished second in the $120,000 OSS Gold Final for 2-year-old pacing colts, being individually timed in 1:54.4.

Brawn Seelster (Berndt Hanover-Bambino Rose) was third in the $20,000 Preferred Trot. The time of the mile was 1:55.1.

Cammache Legacy (Camluck) finished third in the $15,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred # 2, being individually timed in 1:54.1.

Canadian Pacing Derby

Eagle Luck (Camluck) finished third in Saturday’s $702,000 Canadian Pacing Derby Final at Mohawk. Winner of the Molson Pace earlier this year, Eagle Luck has banked over $310,000 this season and taken a new lifetime mark of 1:48.3.

SBOA Stakes Eliminations

Mohawk hosted a pair of SBOA Stakes eliminations for 3-year-old filly trotters on Friday evening. Finishing second in the opening division was Nashotah (Duke Of York), who trotted her mile in 1:58.1.

3-Year-Old Colt Pace

Hanover Raceway hosted the OSS Grassroots for 3-year-old colt pacers on Saturday. Division four saw Legal Litigator (Camluck) take a long, overland trip to the winner’s circle. Pacing 24 ½ lengths off the lead at the quarter pole, Legal Litigator committed to a second-over trip. At the three-quarter pole, Legal Litigator was parked two-wide in third, but had garnered the lead by the top of the stretch, where he stopped the timer in 1:55.4. Finishing third to Legal Litigator was Round About Fame (Apaches Fame).

In the fifth division, Alard Hanover and A Cam Fine Fella, both sons of Camluck, finished second and third respectively. The time of the mile was 1:57.1, with just one-length separating the top three finishers. Just A Suggestion (Camluck) was the runner-up in the seventh and final division (race-timed in 1:55.3).

2-Year-Old Filly Trot

A trio of OSS Gold eliminations were contested at Kawartha Downs on Saturday evening. Keep In Dutch (In Conchnito) was a 1:59.3 winner in the third division, boosting her seasonal earnings to over $82,000 and improving her record to an impressive 2-2-1 in 7 lifetime starts. In the first division, Easter Bonnet (Berndt Hanover) trotted to a third place finish (race-timed in 1:59.2), while Napanee Seelster (Angus Hall-Northern Kiss) finished third in the second division.

Tedeschi (Modern Art) and Rose Seelster (Camluck-Ravishing lady) finished second and third in a 2-year-old filly pace last night at Mohawk. The time of the mile was 1:57.

Nana Nana Boo Boo, the Modern Art half sister to O’Brien Award winner, Lady Dillinger, finished third in her first lifetime start at Georgian Downs (race-timed in 1:57.4). Nana Nana Boo Boo’s next start will be in Saturday’s eliminations of the She’s A Great Lady at Mohawk.

Give Me Some Sugar (Camluck) finished third at Clinton, while Dalilah Seelster (Western Maverick-Decisive Almahurst was third at Dresden.

3-Year-Olds

Eagle McNair (Camluck) and MacNamarra (Camluck) finished first and second in a non-winners pace at Mohawk last night. The time of the mile was 1:53.4.

Shaws Creek Spirit (Apaches Fame) was a 1:57 winner at Sudbury Downs.

Heart Racing (Camluck) paced to victory in 2:01.1 at Clinton Raceway.

In The Raw (Intrepid Seelster) was a 1:59.1 winner at Clinton Raceway.

Sturges Hanover (Camluck) finished second at Mohawk, race-timed in 1:53.4.

Southwind Madonna (Camluck) was a 1:51.2 winner in the $42,000 Fillies & Mares Open at Mohawk. Southwind Madonna will now look to take on the best aged mares in North America, as she has been supplemented to this Friday’s eliminations of the Breeders Crown.

Wholly Louy (Camluck) was a 1:53.2 gate-to-wire winner in Woodstock Raceway’s $20,000 Preferred Pace.

2-Year-Old Colt Pace

Rideau Carleton Raceway hosted the OSS Grassroots for 2-year-old colt pacers last night. Starting things off in the second division was Daylon Artist (Modern Art), who finished second by a head. The time of the mile was 1:57. Go West Lucky Cam (Camluck) was victorious in the third division, overcoming a second-over trip on his way to the winner’s circle in a time of 1:57. Battle Of Waterloo winner, Trail Boss (Apaches Fame), was a dominant four and a half length winner in division four, in an impressive 1:55.

3-Year-Old Colt Trot

OSS Grassroots action for 3-year-old colt trotters took place at Flamboro Downs on Wednesday afternoon. Dandy Duke (Duke Of York) finished third in the second division, which went in a time of 1:58.3. In the fifth division, the Duke Of York sons, Long Ago and Sergeant York, finished first and second respectively. The time of the mile was 1:58.2. In the seventh and final division of the day, Patriot Seelster (Berndt Hanover-Petrina Seelster) was victorious, following up on his third place finish in the $100,000 Dream of Glory Final.

Other notables:

Cams Matters, a two-year-old daughter of Camluck, paced to a 1:59.1 victory last night at Hiawatha Horse Park, with Mystical Seelster (Modern Art-Minx Seelster) finishing three-lengths back in third. Mystical Seelster will now head to Sudbury Downs on August 20 to compete in the next leg of the OSS Grassroots.

General Seelster (Windsongs Legacy-Gramola) finished third in his first lifetime start at Freehold on Tuesday for trainer/driver, Trond Smedshammer.

Shanias Legacy (Camluck) paced gate-to-wire at Flamboro Downs yesterday afternoon in a fillies and mares non-winners race. The time of the mile was 1:56.4.

3-Year-Old Colt Pace

Deuce Seelster (Western Maverick-Demi Seelster) finished third to Somebeachsomewhere in the $180,000 OSS Gold Final at Mohawk on Sunday evening. A career winner of over $735,000, Deuce Seelster remains eligible to this Sunday’s $650,000 Confederation Cup at Flamboro Downs. This October, we will be selling Deuce’s Modern Art half brother, Diablo Seelster, at the Forest City Selected Yearling Sale.

3-Year-Old Colt Trot

Define The World (Duke Of York) finished in the runner-up position in his elimination of the OSS Gold at Flamboro Downs on Friday. The $140,000 Gold Final will be raced this Sunday.

3-Year-Old Filly Trot

Pasadena Princess (Berndt Hanover) trotted to a second place finish in the $120,000 OSS Gold Final at Mohawk on Friday evening. The Bob McIntosh trained filly has been very consistent this season, amassing earnings of over $142,000 from a record of 6-5-0 in 13 starts.

In OSS Grassroots action at Hiawatha Horse Park on Thursday evening, Style Defined (Duke Of York) finished second by 2-lengths in her division. The time of the mile was 2:00.

3-Year-Old Filly Pace

With $140,000 on-the-line Saturday evening at Mohawk, Chancey Lady (Camluck) and Im Just Special (Camluck) did not disappoint their backers. Chancey Lady was a 1-length winner over Im Just Special in a time of 1:53 over a sloppy track (rated off 2 seconds). Currently, Camluck is the sire of the top five OSS money winning 3-year-old fillies to date in 2008.

2-Year-Old Colt Pace

Flamboro Downs hosted the OSS Gold eliminations for 2-year-old colt pacers on Sunday afternoon. In the first division, A Spring Of Hope (Camluck) withstood a tough parked-out trip to finish second, being individually timed in 1:55.4.

The second division saw Shady Cam (Camluck) pace to an impressive 4 ¼ length victory. Racing a second over fifth at the half-mile marker, Shady Cam continued to advance on the outside and by the three-quarter pole, was a parked-out second. As they hit the stretch, Shady Cam had successfully cleared to the lead, using a swift 28.3 final quarter to seal the victory. Finishing second to Shady Cam was Josh Seelster (Modern Art – Josh Seelster), while Medoland Glenno (Western Maverick) rounded out the top three.

2-Year-Old Colt Trot

Pembrook Street (Duke Of York) was victorious in the opening division of the OSS Grassroots at Dresden Raceway on Sunday, trotting to a 2 ¾ length victory.

Topaz Seelster (Apaches Fame-The Patriot) finished third in her division of the $105,900 Robert Stewart Stakes at Mohawk on Sunday evening. The time of the mile was 1:53.2.

The Battle Of Waterloo Final

Seelster Farms had an extraordinary Industry Day at Grand River Raceway on Monday. The top five finalists of the $300,000 Battle Of Waterloo all have close connections to the farm. Race winner, Trail Boss, is a son of Apaches Fame, while runner-up Josh Seelster, is a son of first-crop stallion, Modern Art, and out of our mare, Juno Laag. Third place finisher, Silver Sunset (formerly Sceptre Seelster), is a son of No Pan Intended and out of our mare, Silver Seven. Both Josh Seelster and Silver Sunset are graduates of last fall’s Forest City Yearling Sale. Finishing fourth in the lucrative final was Daylon Artist, a son of Modern Art, while the Western Maverick gelding, Medoland Glenno, finished a strong fifth. The time of the mile was a fast 1:56.

3-Year-Old Filly Pace

Mohawk Raceway hosted a pair of OSS Gold eliminations for 3-year-old filly pacers on Saturday evening, with daughters of Camluck dominating both divisions. Starting things off was Fan Hanover Stakes winner, Chancey Lady, who paced to a two and a half length victory in a time of 1:52.3. Im Just Special was a gate-to-wire winner in the second division in an identical 1:52.3. Finishing third to Im Just Special was another Camluck daughter, All Accounted For.

Grassroots action for the 3-year-old filly pacers was held at Woodstock Raceway Saturday afternoon. In division two, Keystone Mystique (Camluck) was a gate to wire winner in 1:58. Division four saw Keystone Samurai (Camluck) a one and a half length victor over Doinsomethingright (Camluck) in a time of 1:58.3. In the seventh division, Gerries Madison (Apaches Fame) paced to the winner’s circle in a time of 1:58.4.

Lola Seelster, a 3-year-old Credit Winner filly, out of our Garland Lobell mare, Little Miss Whowho, has been having a very successful season in the New York Sires Stakes. Winning her career debut at Mohawk Raceway on May 29 in a time of 1:57, Lola Seelster has since won three legs of the NYSS. Last night at Vernon Downs, Lola Seelster finished a strong second in her division of the NYSS. With a record of 4-1-0 in 7 career starts this season, Lola Seelster has already amassed earnings of over $63,000. Trained by Kenneth Rucker, Lola Seelster is tied for fifth in the NYSS point standings for 3-year-old trotting fillies. This fall, we will be selling the Ken Warkentin half-brother to Lola Seelster, Laredo Seelster, at the Forest City Selected Yearling Sale on October 19.

2-Year-Old Filly Pacers

Hiawatha Horse Park hosted the OSS Grassroots for 2-year-old pacing fillies last night. Starting things off in the second division were the Camluck fillies, Noshameinmyname and Spoiled Beach, who finished first and second respectively in the 1:56 mile. Noshameinmyname is the full sister to the million-dollar-winner Please Me Please.

Daughters of Modern Art made their presence felt last night as well, with strong performances turned in by the following individuals:

Tedeschi (Modern Art) was an impressive second place finisher, overcoming an extremely tough parked-out trip to finish second, just a half-length shy of the winner. The time of the mile was 1:56.4.

In the fourth division, Arts Star (Modern Art) and Blueridge Betty (Modern Art) finished second and third respectively. The time of the mile was 1:54.2.

Romi Mystic (Modern Art) was the runner-up in the fifth division, while Joint effort finished second by a head in the sixth and final division.

The Dream Of Glory Final

Patriot Seelster (Berndt Hanover-Petrina Seelster) finished third in the $100,000 Dream Of Glory Final Saturday night at Hanover Raceway. Winner of his elimination the week before, Patriot Seelster boosted his career earnings to over $31,000.

The eliminations for the Battle Of Waterloo, held on Monday evening at Grand River Raceway, were a great success for not only three Seelster bred and raised colts, but also for first crop sire, Modern Art.

Starting things off in the first elimination was the Modern Art son, Daylon Artist. Leading from gate-to-wire in his first lifetime start, Daylon Artist was a two-length winner over Josh Seelster (Modern Art-Juno Laag) and Garrick Seelster (No Pan Intended-Go Alberta Go). The time of the mile was 1:57.2.

In the second and fastest elimination, Go West Lucky Cam (Camluck) paced to an impressive 1:56.4 victory. Racing sixth, twelve and a half lengths off the leader, at the quarter-pole, Go West Lucky Cam used a strong brush of speed to collar the lead by the half-mile marker. Finishing second to Go West Lucky Cam was the Apaches Fame colt, Trail Boss, while Riopelle (Modern Art) rounded out the top three.

In the third and final elimination, Silver Sunset (No Pan Intended-Silver Seven) finished third. Silver Sunset sold as Sceptre Seelster at last fall’s Forest City Yearling Sale.

The Canadian Breeders Championship Finals, for 3-year-old Canadian sired pacers & trotters, were raced Saturday night at Mohawk. In the $166,723 colt & gelding trot, Define The World (Duke Of York) was a dominant winner. Winning by an impressive five-lengths, Define The World lowered his life’s mark to a speedy 1:54.1.

Pasadena Princess (Berndt Hanover) was second best in the $191,206 filly trot. The time of the mile was 1:55.3.

In the $165,821 final for colt & gelding pacers, Lucky Man (Camluck) closed the fastest of all competitors in finishing third, just three-quarters of a length behind the winner. The time of the mile was 1:50.4.

2-Year-Old Colt Trot

OSS Gold eliminations were held last night at Grand River Raceway. Rosesbowls MVP (Berndt Hanover) was an elimination winner in a life’s best of 2:03.1. In Monday’s $120,000 final, Rosesbowls MVP will leave from post 5.

Clinton Raceway hosted the OSS Grassroots on Sunday afternoon. Toledo Seelster (Angus Hall-Travelin Lavec) was victorious in his division, while Pembrook Street (Duke Of York) was a close second in his division.

2-Year-Old Filly Trot

OSS Gold eliminations were held at Mohawk on Monday evening. Easter Bonnet (Berndt Hanover) trotted to victory in the second division, stopping the clock in 1:59.1. In the fourth division, Keep In Dutch overcame the dreaded ten-hole to finish second, just a nose behind the winner, in a time of 1:59.4.

Other notable performances include:

Secrets Nephew (Camluck) dominated the $47,00 Open Pace at Mohawk, winning in an incredible 1:48.4 (:26.2 last quarter)!

Illusionist (Camluck) was victorious in the $42,00 Fillies & Mares Open at Mohawk. The time of the mile was 1:50.4, with Southwind Madonna (Camluck) finishing a strong third. Illusionist is now less than $51,000 away from becoming Camluck’s next million-dollar winner!

Durable Duke (Duke Of York) – Trotted to a 1:54.4 win at Mohawk.

Dreamfair Eternal (Camluck) – Paced to a 1:51.3 victory at Mohawk.

Cammache Legacy (Camluck) – Won the Fillies & Mares Preferred at Grand River Raceway in a time of 1:55.2.

Last night at Mohawk, the following individuals turned in top performances:

Special Thanks, a 3-year-old filly by Pegasus Spur, trotted to victory in the first race. Driven by Paul MacDonnell for trainer Chris Beaver, Special Thanks broke her maiden in a time of 1:59.1.

Bubeleh (Camluck) also broke her maiden last night for trainer/driver Rick Zeron. On the lead by the three-quarter pole, Bubeleh paced to a 1½ length victory in a time of 1:54.4.

Topaz Seelster (Apaches Fame – The Patriot) finished a fast-closing third in her division of the Whenuwishuponastar Pacing Series, being individually time din 1:55.3.

Duchessofnorthyork (Duke Of York) trotted to a third place finish in a non-winners event, just one length back of the winner. The time of the mile was 1:57.

Classic Series

Eagle Luck (Camluck) was a dominant winner in an $85,000 leg of the Classic Series at The Meadowlands on Saturday night. Getting away fifth, Eagle Luck raced parked-out for much of the mile. Pacing home in 27 seconds, Eagle Luck was able to collar the leaders down the stretch and seal the victory in a life’s best of 1:48.3. Eagle Luck will look to continue his win streak in this Saturday’s $250,000 final.

Dream Maker Series

Stampede Seelster (Western Hanover – Slick Gaited) finished second in the opening leg of the Dream Maker Series at Mohawk on Monday evening. Increasing his season’s bankroll to over $30,000, Stampede Seelster has compiled a record of 1-1-1 in just three starts.

Canadian Breeders Championship Eliminations

Mohawk Raceway held the eliminations for the 3-year-old filly trotters and pacers on Friday evening. Leading the way amongst the pacing distaffs was Im Just Special (Camluck), who paced to an impressive 1:51 victory, using a strong closing kick of 27.3 to collar leaders down the stretch. In the second division for the pacing fillies, A Fiesty Affair (Camluck) finished a fast-closing third.

Pasadena Princess, a daughter of former Seelster stallion Berndt Hanover, was a 1:56.3 winner amongst the trotting fillies.

The 3-year-old pacing and trotting colts and geldings took centre stage on Saturday evening at Mohawk. Define The World (Duke Of York) finished in the runner-up position in the first division for the trotters, being individually timed in 1:55. Lucky Man and Trade Editor, both sons of Camluck, finished third in their respective pacing eliminations.

2-Year-Old Colt Pace

The first OSS Gold Final for the 2-year-old colt pacers was held on Sunday evening at Mohawk. Silver Sunset (No Pan Intended-Silver Seven) finished fourth, while Riopelle (Modern Art) was fifth. The time of the mile was 1:54.

In the OSS Gold Consolation, Shady Cam (Camluck) overcame a parked-out trip to capture the victory, using an astonishing final quarter of 26.4! The time of the mile was 1:55. Finishing second and third to Shady Cam was Lucky Herb (Camluck) and Medoland Glenno (Western Maverick).

The OSS Grassroots for the 2-year-old colt pacers made a stop at Georgian Downs on Saturday. Winning the first division was Go West Lucky Cam (Camluck), with Garrick Seelster (No Pan Intended-Go Alberta Go) finishing a close second. The time of the mile was 1:55.3. The second division of the evening was won by the Modern Art colt, Strand Hanover, in a time of 1:57.3. Finishing third to Strand Hanover was Bryson Seelster (Camluck-Bolero Bogota). Third place finishes were also turned in by Lyons Trick (Camluck), The Ladies Man (Modern Art), and Josh Seelster (Modern Art) in their respective divisions.

2-Year-Old Filly Pace

On Friday evening, Topaz Seelster (Apaches Fame-The Patriot) was an impressive eight-length winner in the OSS Gold Consolation. Racing a parked-out fifth at the half-mile marker, Topaz closed strong to stop the clock in a life’s best of 1:55.3. Finishing second to Topaz was the Modern Art filly, Blueridge Betty.

2-Year-Old Colt Trot

Rosebowls MVP, a son of former Seelster stallion, Berndt Hanover, trotted to a third place finish in the OSS Gold Final at Kawartha Downs. Rosebowls MVP is the full-brother to Canadian Breeders Championship elimination winner, Pasadena Princess.

2-Year-Old Filly Trot

Flamboro hosted the OSS Gold Final for 2-year-old filly trotters on Sunday. Keep In Dutch, a daughter of first crop sire, In Conchnito, trotted to a third place finish, being individually timed in 2:00.4.

The 2-year-old fillies also competed in OSS Grassroots action on Saturday at Woodstock Raceway. Mind Over Money (In Conchnito) was a 13¾ length winner in her division. Hettieslittlelily (In Conchnito) trotted to a runner-up finish in her division, finishing just 1¼ lengths back of the winner. The Berndt Hanover daughter, Berndts Lucky Girl, finished third in her division, just 2 lengths off the winner.

Arts Star (Modern Art) – An impressive 1:56.4 winner at Mohawk in her first lifetime start.

Escape Seelster (Modern Art – Espirit Seelster) – Finished second in her first lifetime start at Grand River Raceway (race timed in 2:00).

Blazing Past (Camluck) – Paced to victory in just his second lifetime start over Flamboro in a time of 1:59.2. Blazing Past is the full-brother to Burning Point p,6,1:49.2 ($3,067,944).

Go West Young Cam (Camluck) – Paced to a 1:58.3 victory at Woodstock.

Master Charge (Camluck – Easy Life) – Paced to victory at Mohawk in 1:55.4. Finishing second to Master Charge was Eagle McNair (Camluck).

Round About Fame (Apaches Fame) – Paced to victory in 1:53.2 at Mohawk. Whitesand Macgyver (Camluck) finished third in the same mile.

Sportsman (Camluck) – Paced to a 1:52.4 life’s best at Georgian Downs.

Last night, Grand River Raceway hosted the first leg of the OSS Grassroots for 2-year-old pacing fillies. Leading the way in the first division was Romi Mystic, a daughter of Modern Art. Leaving from post 1, Romi Mystic made every call a winning one, stopping the clock in 2:01. Romi Mystic is trained by Chris Beaver and was driven to victory by Robert Shepherd.

In the third division, Stonebridge Breeze (Camluck) was a gate to wire winner in 1:59.3, with Zegrid Lady (Modern Art) finishing third.

In the fifth and final division of the evening, Splashedbycourage (Intrepid Seelster) and Power Outage (Camluck) finished first and second respectively. The time of the mile was 1:59.4.

The next stop for the 2-year-old OSS Grassroots pacing fillies will be on July 31, 2008 at Hiawatha Horse Park.

2-Year-Old Colt Pace

Silver Sunset (No Pan Intended/Silver Seven) was an impressive winner in his OSS Gold elimination at Mohawk yesterday. Stopping the clock in a formidable 1:54.3, Silver Sunset will leave from post 8 in next week’s $120,000 Gold Final. Also advancing to the final, by virtue of his third place finish in the eliminations was the Modern Art son, Riopelle. Riopelle will leave from post 9 in the final.

Stampede Seelster (Western Hanover/Slick Gaited) finished third in a 2-year-old colt pace at Mohawk, being individually timed in 1:56.1.

2-Year-Old Filly Pace

Rose Seelster (Camluck/Ravishing Lady) finished second by a nose in her OSS Gold elimination at Flamboro Downs on Friday. The time of the mile was 1:56.

2-Year-Old Filly Trot

Napanee Seelster (Angus Hall/Northern Kiss) made her OSS Gold debut at Flamboro Downs yesterday. Napanee finished a strong third in her $40,000 elimination for driver Trevor Henry.

3-Year-Old Filly Trot

Tameka Seelster (Berndt Hanover/Travelin Lavec) finished fourth in her division of the Trillium Series at Sudbury Downs on Saturday afternoon, just one and a half lengths back of the winner. The time of the mile was 2:02.

Define The World finished third in the $279,786 Goodtimes Stakes at Mohawk.

3-Year-Old Filly Trotters

Tameka Seelster (Berndt Hanover/Travelin Lavec) is 2 for 2 in OSS Grassroots action, while Fa Mulan (Berndt Hanover/Orianna Seelster) has a win and a fifth in Grassroots competition.

Nashotah and Daylon Mistress, both daughters of Duke Of York, finished first and second respectively in the OSS Gold Consolation at Georgian Downs. The time of the mile was 1:56.3.

Bud Light Stakes – Flamboro Downs

Stampede Seelster p,2,1:56.4h’08 ($23,245) was a dominant winner in his $46,491 division of the Bud Light Stakes for two-year-old colt pacers. Stampede Seelster is sired by Western Hanover and is out of the Artsplace mare, Slick Gaited. Shamus Seelster (Modern Art/Sporty Lucy) and Bryson Seelster (Camluck/Bolero Bogota) finished fourth and fifth respectively in this division.

Spoiled Beach (Camluck) was a runner-up in her division for the 2-year-old filly pacers.

Three divisions for the two-year-old filly trotters were contested, with Keep In Dutch 2,2:04h’08 ($19,476) trotting to victory in the opening division. Keep In Dutch is a daughter of first crop sire, In Conchnito. Daring Original (Duke Of York) finished third and Napanee Seelster (Angus Hall/Northern Kiss) finished fourth in their respective divisions.

Fan Hanover Stakes The biggest payday to-date for Chancey Lady p,2,1:52s; 3,1:51.1s’08 ($813,055) came in winning the $733,031 Fan Hanover Stakes Final at Mohawk on June 14. Chancey Lady, a daughter of the great Camluck, paced to a decisive 1:51.1 victory, establishing herself as one of the top pacing fillies in North America.

Roses Are Red Final Southwind Madonna (Camluck), a career winner of $747,465, finished a hard fought second in the $405,715 Roses Are Red Final at Mohawk. With an astonishing record of 7-6-0 in just 16 starts this season, Southwind Madonna has amassed $276,528 in season’s earnings.

The Masters Pacing Series – Georgian Downs

Illusionist (Camluck) was a gate-to-wire winner in the $112,000 Masters Series Final for Aged Pacing Mares. Stopping the clock in an impressive 1:51, Illusionist pushed her career earnings to $926,209. Finishing third to Illusionist was Luck Of Michelle (Camluck).

In the Aged Trotting Mares final, Margie Seelster (Angus Hall/Meadowbranch Girl) finished a strong third.
